Do you tolerate people who beg/ask for positions? Do you give it to them, ban them..?

I give them a chance and ask them to earn the job instead of asking.

I know of someone who keeps begging for a promotion, Not on my forum.
You should earn that position, the more you beg the more likely I would hire someone else.

My policy on my forum is to see how much of a contributor the user will be before promoting them to a staff level.
The way my forum works is we research the latest Christian books as Book Detectives and watch Christian author social networking as Social Networking Updaters.
If a user asks me to be promoted to one of these positions, I tell them they need to prove to me they should be part of my staff by contributing information to the site.
Those who do contribute information are considered very valuable and are thus promoted to a staff position.
